Happy Winter!
The snow and cold has finally made it across the country. I’ll be heading to the Adirondacks this week for some great cross-country ski touring with friends. There’s not been a ton of snow but enough to make it a go. Last year, the rain washed things out but not this year!
New Book Progress
I’m writing my next book ‘Travel Like a Mzungu‘. Being a novel gives me the liberty to invent and develop an interesting plot, but based on real people and events. The story opens in 1938 with the characters dispersed across America, England, Burma, India, Uganda, and Kenya. Each chapter dives into their lives, including my parents and many others. Why did they leave their homes to convene in Mbale, Uganda during the late 1950’s? What did they hope to learn or achieve?
Stay tuned as I continue to flesh out the story. If anyone wants an early read, please let me know and I’ll be happy to share the chapters with you. Constant feedback is always welcome!
